Google Jobs Issues in August 2025?

Are you seeing recent issues with Google Jobs – traffic drop or crawl requests dropping overnight? You are not alone.

I have received reports from 4 large job sites of the following:

Crawl requests are dropping overnight

Multiple sites reported that the Google Bot either stopped visiting their job ad pages between 20.08 and 21.08. Some even report that the issues started earlier in August. The reduced crawling was only applicable to job pages, not the rest of the site.

Traffic loss (20-30% drop on a WoW basis)

Although there are strong seasonality effects for job boards, we saw this even on sites with strong upward trajectories.

Other sites reported significant traffic drops starting August, just 2 weeks after the last Core update rolled out:

What is happening?

The last time we saw this, Google started testing a new Google Jobs UX in January and rolled it out in the summer of 2024:

Google Job Search Results Testing New Interface
Google seems to be testing a new interface for the job search results. The old interface was more like a boxed in module, the new interface seems to flow more nicely and be more integrated into the search results user interface.
New Google Jobs UX visible in Germany! Is this the roll-out?
Today, I noticed the new Google Jobs UX being visible for searches in Germany. I cannot get to the old UX anymore, making me think this is the official launch! Background Google already tested the new UX in Austria back in 2023 I wrote about the test in 2023 on

Back then, multiple job boards reported that their Google Jobs traffic completely dried up for 2-3 weeks for sites with high DA, and quite a lot of sites did not recover at all. This was paired with a drop in crawl requests, but after the launch of the UX, the traffic recovered, although not at the same level for all affected sites.

Here is another example I kept in my logs:

It remains to be seen if this is a new UX, an effect of the last core update or just a general technical issue with Google Jobs.

As of now, there are no indications of a change in the Google Jobs UX in any EU country or the US.
