AI application tools have changed everything. Some genuinely help job seekers find the right fit. Others are spam factories - fabricating credentials, generating fake resumes on the fly, and burying real candidates under a mountain of junk.
The frustrating part? Proper bot detection takes engineering resources, time, and budget that most teams don't have.
And predictably, vendors are now jumping in with tools that promise to detect AI-augmented resumes.
Spoiler: This is technically impossible. Reliably distinguishing AI-assisted writing from human writing remains an unsolved problem across the industry. But fear sells, and it was only a matter of time before someone tried to monetize the panic.
